Services and Fees
Individual and Family Counseling for Children 8+, Adolescents, and Adults
Gifted Assessments for Academically Gifted Placement and Scholars Academy
Early Kindergarten Readiness Evaluations
Available for Speaking Engagements
Mentoring and Private Practice Development for New Therapists
Treatment specialization includes but is not limited to:
Fees for Therapy
$165 per 50-minute session
Fees for Testing
-$450 for gifted assessment/IQ testing (This includes test administration, scoring, and report. A 15-minute follow up phone call or telehealth session can be scheduled to review the results.)
-$600 for early kindergarten readiness evaluations (This testing involves additional testing and scoring time, per the requirements of NC schools to provide achievement tests in addition to the IQ testing.)
I realize how difficult taking that first step to call a therapist can be. Finding a good match is important and is often difficult to discern via a computer screen. If you decide not to continue therapy services with me after that first meeting, you will not incur a charge for that initial visit.
Insurance
Services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan. I am out of network for insurance companies but do provide billing services. I would encourage you to call your insurance to find out more about your out of network benefits. IQ testing and early kindergarten readiness evaluations are not covered by insurance.
Please be advised that any time you choose to bill insurance for mental health therapy, with any provider, a diagnosis must be given during the initial appointment in order for insurance to pay for services. The diagnosis will have to be submitted to the insurance company and will become part of your or your child's record. This is true for both in network and out of network providers. While I realize that paying for therapy services out of pocket is not always feasible, I do want to make sure that you are aware of this on the outset of treatment.
