Welcome
It’s hard to know how to start a site like this. It can quickly feel like I am trying to “sell” myself to you, which is not the point. It's for you to get to know me. After this introduction you will find the first three pages of my website are split up by age. Click on the page that coincides with the age of the potential patient.
Over the course of the 18 years I have been in practice, I have learned that therapy is most beneficial under two conditions: first and foremost, a person HAS to be ready. Ready to make changes; ready to dig deep. I think we have all been guilty of continuing the same patterns of behavior, hoping things will magically change one day. Change always involves, yes you guessed it, CHANGE. Changing behaviors, thought patterns, and bad habits. I want to help people do that. I advise a healthy mix of tangible change along with exploration to identify how core beliefs, negative thoughts and family dynamics impact present behaviors and relationships.
The second condition that is conducive to productive therapy sessions is finding a therapist who is a good personality match. Yes, you need to find someone with the appropriate education and license (which I have) and that is good at their job (which I am). But most importantly, you need to find someone you “click” with. I am aware I am not going to be the right therapist for every person out there. I would encourage you to read through my website. I have tried to give you a sense of my personality and how I do treatment. If the following pages resonate with you, I would love a chance to talk and see if we both feel I would be a good match for you or your child. I look forward to hearing from you.
